WeatherMaster windows and doors for porches

A screened porch is good for about four months. WeatherMaster panels close it in, so you use it in March and October and still open it up in July.

Try a position

The screen stays put while the vinyl moves.

How it opens

Slide the panels where you want them

WeatherMaster windows are custom-built ViewFlex vinyl panels, not glass. Each window is a set of stacking panels riding in a track. Slide them where you want them and they stay.

Vertical

Stack up, stack down, or bunch up in the middle. Slide the top half open for a cross breeze and leave the bottom closed against blowing rain.

Vertical is the most common option and the one we recommend.

Horizontal

Panels slide side to side, in 2-track (H2T) or 4-track (H4T, with options for 3 or 4 panels). A 4-track gives more panels and more open area.

How far it opens

A 4-track opens up to 75%, a 2-track up to 50%. Closed, either one cuts wind, rain, pollen and noticeable road and neighbor noise, and every position in between is available.

Why choose Vivid

Sized to each opening

Vertical window systems and the opening width each covers
SystemOpening width
Single Window System2 to 4 ft
Stereo Double4 to 8 ft
Stereo Triple8 to 12 ft

One vertical unit goes up to 12 ft wide and 8 ft high. Wider openings take several units, with the joins placed on posts, not in the middle of your view.

Aluminum frames are made to the exact size of each opening. Nothing is trimmed to fit on site.

Which tint for your porch?

  • Sunspace ViewFlex vinyl, Clear swatch

  • Sunspace ViewFlex vinyl, Dark Gray swatch
    Sunspace ViewFlex vinyl, Dark Gray
  • Sunspace ViewFlex vinyl, Bronze swatch

Four ViewFlex tints. Tints can be mixed within one project.

A west-facing Huntersville porch takes direct afternoon sun from May through September, so a darker tint cuts heat gain and glare. North-facing or shaded porches usually want clear.

We walk the porch with you, note the orientation and shade, and recommend one. It costs nothing at the order stage and is expensive to change later.

Every window has a screen. Which one?

Every window carries a full fiberglass mesh screen that stays put while the vinyl moves. You choose how fine it is.

What Vivid does

Sunspace makes it. We measure, design and install it.

Sunspace makes the windows. What you're buying from us is whether they end up installed correctly.

  1. MeasureWe measure the house and the yard with a Moasure, a digital measuring tool.
  2. Design in 3DWe draw it in 3D, usually right away, and can show the Sunspace product on a photo of your own house.
  3. PermitWe pull the permit when one is needed. We never ask you to.
  4. InstallWe install it, and our labor carries a 1-year warranty.
  5. Fix what's underneathA new floor or a roof correction comes first, so there is one contractor, not three.

Where they fit, and what they are not

Where we install them

  • Porch conversions: an existing covered porch becomes a three-season room.
  • New screen rooms and sunrooms, built from the footing up.
  • Patio enclosures under an existing roofline.
  • Deck and porch railings under a roof.

If your porch already has a solid roof and a level floor, you're most of the way there.

Doors

WeatherMaster doors use the same ViewFlex vinyl and frame profiles as the windows, with matching tints and finishes, so the door reads as part of the system. They are sized and ordered with the windows. A door can have a screen, vinyl and a pet door.

Want the whole wall to open? Bi-fold doors

What it isn't

  • A three-season room, not a conditioned one.
  • A single-layer vinyl system, not insulated glass.
  • Comfortable roughly March to November, longer with a heat source.
  • Not soundproof. It cuts noise meaningfully.

Want a year-round room? Sunrooms
