The short version

Nothing on this site tracks you unless you click Accept on the cookie notice. If you click Decline, or click nothing, no analytics tool loads and no analytics cookies are set.

We do not sell your information, we do not run ads on this site, and we do not use this information for advertising. Microsoft may use what Clarity collects for its own advertising; see "If you click Accept."

If you click Accept

Two tools turn on, to help us see how the site is used and make it better:

Google Analytics (by Google) counts visits and records which pages you view, how you arrived (for example from a search), your device and browser type, your approximate area (city level, worked out from your internet address), and actions such as scrolling, clicking a link to another site, or starting or pressing send on the quote form (not what you typed). It sets cookies named vivid_ga and vivid_ga_X0K31Y4FZS that last up to 2 years. Google deletes the visit-by-visit records tied to those cookies after 2 months, and the per-browser records after 14 months; the summary reports we see are kept longer. Google says it does not log or store full internet addresses for Google Analytics.

Microsoft Clarity (by Microsoft) records how you use each page: mouse movement, clicks, taps and scrolling. It uses these to build heat maps and replays of visits, which play back your visit as a video of the page. Clarity hides what you type into form boxes and other sensitive text before anything is sent. It sets cookies named _clck (up to 1 year) and _clsk (about a day) on this site, and Microsoft sets its own cookies (such as MUID) on its own web addresses, which only Microsoft or your browser settings can remove. Microsoft keeps visit replays for 30 days (a sample of replays, and any we mark as favorites, for up to 9 months) and heat-map and click data for 9 months. Microsoft receives this information as a separate company, not on our behalf. Under its own terms it may use it for its own purposes, including to improve its products and for Microsoft Advertising, as described in the Microsoft Privacy Statement linked below.

Call button taps. When you tap one of our phone numbers, Google Analytics records that a call button was tapped and where it sits on the page. It does not record your phone number, and nothing about the call itself.

Google and Microsoft handle this data under their own policies: how Google uses data from sites that use its services and the Microsoft Privacy Statement.

The quote form

The quote form on this site does not send or save what you type yet. Your ZIP code, project details, name and phone number are not sent to us and are gone when you leave the page. If you accepted cookies, Clarity hides what you type, though it may record which choices you click. To reach us today, call or email us. If the form ever starts sending, this page will say what is sent, where it goes and how it is used before that happens.

The backyard visualizer

On the design concepts page you can upload a photo of your house to see an AI concept of a Vivid product on it. Your browser shrinks the photo first, then sends it, with the product you picked, to our web host, Cloudflare, whose Workers AI service draws the concept and sends it straight back to your browser. We do not store your photo or the concept, and we do not see them. To limit use, our server counts how many concepts each internet address asks for in a day, using a scrambled form of the address that is deleted the next day. If you accepted cookies, Google Analytics records that a concept was made and which product and finish were picked, not the photo.

Information we always see

Like every website, the company that hosts this site keeps standard server logs of each request: your internet address, the page asked for, the time, and your browser type. These logs are used to keep the site running and secure, and they are not used for marketing.

When you call or email us, we see your phone number or email address and what you tell us, and we use it only to answer you and work on your project.

Your choice, and how to change it

Click Cookie settings at the bottom of any page to change your answer at any time. If you switch to Decline, the analytics cookies this site set are deleted and the tools stay off. Cookies Microsoft set on its own web addresses stay until you clear them in your browser settings. Your answer itself is saved in your browser (not in a cookie) so the notice does not ask again on every page. Clearing your browser's site data resets it.

You can also block cookies in your browser settings, or use Google's Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Links to other sites

Our links to Instagram, Google Maps and the Sunspace website take you to those sites, which have their own privacy policies. Nothing from them loads on our pages.

Children

This site is for homeowners planning a project. It is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
